“Different is good, and being different is what makes us stand out in the world.” Natalya Neidhart
Significance: embrace our individualities and we can be a good influence to others.
Instead of hiding your flaws and trying to fit into society, we should learn to love ourselves and embrace individuality. As children go through changes at a very young age, they tend to be influenced by their peers and can even develop social anxiety and succumb to peer pressure. The message that I am hoping to relay is that being different is a good thing, and it helps to contribute newer perspectives into the world.
Many young children have experienced bullying for being different and are discriminated against by their peers who do not understand them. Hence, it is important for children to be able to stand up for themselves and to be confident when doing so as they learn to be proud of the person that they have become.
It is important to me because I wish somebody would remind me of this when I was younger as it would have really helped me to hear encouragement about standing out and embracing my individuality when it comes to predilections I have like my taste in music, hobbies or interests.
